Stand-Up, Sketch Comedy, Message

"Be ready for a side ache for two days after you hear Kerri Pomarolli.  I was tempted to roll in the aisle, but I didn’t want to miss the next one liner!  The best part was the winsome way that Kerri let people know about Jesus.  She made us laugh, told us what God had done for her and what He wanted to do for us.  Kerri gave one of the clearest presentations of the gospel that I have ever heard. Then she made us laugh again!  We had a very fun and very purposeful evening."

- Women's Ministry Director, Sunridge Community Church

It all started at the tender age of 2 when Kerri found her comedic calling. She knew how to tell jokes and became addicted to making people laugh.

Her very Southern mother had different plans for her and enrolled her immediately in dance classes where Kerri found a way to express her other talent. She was well on her way to becoming a professional dancer when tragedy struck at age 11. She was diagnosed with Scoliosis and went through extensive and painful treatment. Finally, she had spinal fusion surgery that placed two metal rods in her back and allowed her to live a normal life, but she knew her dreams for a ballet career were over.

Devastated but determined, she decided to try acting. Kerri got the phone book and called the local theater company and said "Hello my name is Kerri Pomarolli I'm 11 and I want to be an actress". She auditioned and was cast, as the lead role in Lillian Hellman's "The Children's Hour". She got the theater bug.

Her accomplishments proceeded through high school performing in theater, musicals and commercials. She toured Italy with a classical theater study program through the University of Michigan and performed in the Greek Operetta, "The Bachae."

She graduated from Northville High School and was accepted at University of Michigan where she received her Musical Theater BFA and joined the Alpha Phi Sorority.

During her summer semester she studied at Stella Adler Conservatory in NYC and went on to London to study at the British American Drama Academy and was offered a role in "Revenger's Tragedy" at the prestigious Young Vic Theater. She impressed director Simon Stokes (Dangerous Liaisons) so much he cast Kerri in the lead role as Vindice even though the part was written for a man.

After college, Kerri moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.

She graduated from the two-year program at Second City and performed on the main stage in LA with "The Thompsons" for a season. She also studied at the Groundlings for Improv and joined the award-winning theater ensemble, "The Actors Coop." Kerri paired up with known television actor Gary Hershberger to co-found the inspirational drama ministry, "Act In Faith" that is getting rave reviews for their honest and heartfelt dramas on life's tough issues. They perform at marriage conferences and church events across the country with the theme, Real Life, Real Problem, and Real Faith.

Labeled as a Christian Woody Allen trapped in a 5'2" frame, Kerri Pomarolli's comedy brings Godly principles to everyday experiences. She uses her power of story and gift of comedy to draw audiences closer to God. She speaks at many events including Women's Ministries, Singles Ministries, Colleges and Church events.

Kerri Pomarolli is now one of the fastest rising stars in the Clean comedy business. She has brought her high energy and lethal wit to a variety of audiences, leaving them eager for more. Kerri brings her uplifting humor and comical musing of life experiences to mainstream and Christian venues. Kerri is animated, original and contagious, combining her acting, writing and comedy skills; she is building a reputation as being a much sought after performer.

Kerri tours extensively throughout the United States and Canada and has shared the stage with such diverse Christian Comedians as Ron McGehee, Sheri Shepherd, Carlos Oscar and Anthony Griffin. Pomarolli also is in high demand as a comedian and emcee as well as an inspirational speaker and writer. Kerri was honored to have hosted the pre show at the 2006 Gospel Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

Kerri is also an accomplished actress, published author and veteran of television with credits that include 27 appearances. She writes her own bi-monthly advice column “Confessions” in the national magazine Radiant, is a contributing writer for the new national magazine “Hope For Women” and Cornerstone Connection, writes articles for the Teen magazine Brio, is a contributing writer in Flint Wainess’ new book "Its Not Me Its You,” is collaborating with author Matthew Paul Turner on a new book to be released in Fall 2007 by Nav Press and is part of a new book “Relevant Nation 50 Revolutionaries Under 40” in stores now published by Relevant Press. Her book, “If I Am Waiting On God, Then What Am I Doing In A Christian Chatroom?; Confessions Of A Do It Yourself Single” is in Christian bookstores nationally. She recently released her second comedy CD, "Clean Comedy Strikes Back."

Kerri starred and co-produced a pilot, along with comedian husband Ron McGehee, produced by Eastgate Productions (Dog Whisperer). The pilot demonstrates both Ron and Kerri's comedic ability to interact as they take on the task of home improvement. As you will see, their complete lack of skills is down right comical.

Kerri was on the November 2006 cover of Today’s Christian Woman and January 2007 cover of Cornerstone Connection magazine. Kerri just taped New Morning Week Day for Hallmark Channel and her book "If I Am Waiting On God" is being considered as a movie with a major studio.

Kerri Pomarolli lives in Los Angles with her husband comedian Ron McGehee.

“I moved to LA to pursue my dreams… famous actress/trophy wife. I went to church only when there was parking and did things exactly the way I planned them. Funny how even though I was getting worldly success and my mom had things to brag about at bridge I wasn’t happy. I knew something had to change. I silently prayed one night while sitting in a show… ‘God I just want to perform… however You see fit. I just want to come back to You.’

“That was the most powerful prayer because the very next day things changed. I started a ministry called Act in Faith that provides original dramas for churches with Hollywood actors and directors. We’ve been touring ever since. In the midst of that, God led me to stand up comedy. Not only did He want me to talk about HIM, He wanted me to do it in Hollywood where He wasn’t getting much stage time. I said YES and everything took off from there. It’s been my honor and passion to go out, talk about HIM and what He’s doing in my life, to people from all walks of life—and I’m loving every minute of it."

"Kerri Pomarolli is Awesome!  She is mega funny with a message that's eternal."

- Scott White, Exec. Pastor of FBC North Mobile & Pres. of Pastor’s Conference at Southern Baptist Convention.

"Your act was so fine tuned as well as hilariously funny, but I think the best part of your act was the way that you used stand-up as a witnessing tool. That blew me away. You just out and out witnessed to that guy in the front row. You present the gospel in a non-threatening, non-abrasive way and everyone who watches your act gets ministered to, whether they realize what is happening or not. God has truly blessed you with the gift of stage-presence and the ability to make people laugh. And I am so glad that you are using your God-given talents and gifts for His purpose. …If I ever have need for an event or a church fellowship meeting, I will definitely be contacting you."

- Timothy J. Micsko, Production Manager, USA Cable Entertainment

"Funny, entertaining, hilarious and completely charming--those are just a few of the adjectives used to describe Kerri Pomarolli, our guest comedian for our annual "Chicks on the Pond" event. She had everyone in attendance in unified laughter on funny subjects from A to Z. Even in the midst of major technical difficulties--like no lights--she kept them coming fast and funny. We love Kerri!"

- Michelle, Calvary Community Church

"Talented, funny and unforgettable—her refreshing routines hit Christians where they live, without resorting to clichés or stereotypes. Her unique blend of humor touches all audiences, and in doing so, doubles as a ministry."

 - Monika, South Bay Entertainment Fellowship Co-Founder, Director of the Angelus Awards Film Festival

"Kerri’s performance kept the audience laughing and used stories that anyone could relate to... [and] appealed to both the Christians present as well as anyone they may have brought with them… Kerri’s testimony, both the one she verbally shared and the one that you could see in her without words, was powerful and I know that people were greatly impacted by hearing it."

- Alissa, Women’s Ministries Coordinator, Rockharbor Church

"Kerri did a fantastic job! We were so blessed to have her. Everyone was thanking me for booking her! All weekend, people continued to quote her lines and continued to praise what an awesome job she did. Everyone had a fantastic time! She kicked off our new single's ministry with a bang. Most importantly, her Christian testimony touched many hearts. My friend was sharing how the guy next to him was inquiring about God and my friend had the awesome opportunity of sharing his testimony and the gospel with him. All because of God's work through Kerri. Thank you!"

- Laura, Singles Ministry, Pacific Coast Christian Church

"Kerri’s performance was one of the funniest I’ve seen and as I looked around the auditorium, I saw the young and the old nearly rolling in the aisles.

"Her story about wifely submission was something many of the younger gals (and some of us older ones too) could well relate to. In her second session with us, Kerri recounted her testimony – but believe me when I tell you that the girl cannot help but be funny, even when the subject is most serious. Her walk with Christ is evident and she has a depth of commitment and knowledge that is rarely seen. She was truly a delight and the happiness she expressed in the Jesus she worships is amazing. I would recommend her to anyone in any church setting. She is absolutely charming both as a person and a performer."

 - Rita Case, Women’s Ministry Director, First Baptist

"Kerri was very entertaining; but sobering as well. Her humorous presentation in the life of a single adult really made a lot of people reevaluate some of their priorities. She presented her faith with so much sensitivity; but was yet so powerful. Kerri had us laughing one minute and praising the next. She truly embodies the fact that Christians can and do have fun. In short, she was “pee in your pants funny”. I would recommend her for any event and any age."

- Pastor Alberto Lopez, Single Adults & Spanish Ministry, Calvary Church - Naperville

"Kerri Pomarolli? She’s short, but she really grows on you!! She’s a real pro and I loved working with her. Delivering her funny stuff while handling the host duties to keep a show like the Dove Awards moving, is difficult. She had me at ‘and the Dove Award goes to...’."
